Ambassador Committee members attend Chamber events, call on first year members, and promote the Chamber. Ambassadors have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with other members while building business relationships.
Leadership Walton Alumni is made up of individuals who have participated and graduated from the Leadership Walton program. The mission of the Alumni is to build and foster a legacy of leadership in the Greater Walton Area in an effort to strengthen our communities. The Alumni work to support leadership development and provide a forum for continued education, networking and community.
BUILD Council works to bridge the gap between today’s leaders and the leaders of tomorrow through placement in opportunities to excel. Members of this council work to propel a regional, professional mentorship program forward.
Leadership Walton Visionary Council is the guiding group that develops the program outline that aims to provide present and potential community leaders with the opportunity to improve their leadership skills and awareness. The Leadership Walton program is designed to provide an integrated exposure to leadership and management skills, identify challenges and issues facing the growing Greater Walton region, and foster personal and professional growth
Military Affairs Committee members work to support the military mission and enhance the relationship between the community and the military. They meet the second Friday of the month in Freeport at 8am.
Political Action Committee members work to shape and affect governmental action, public policy and legislation on local, state and federal issues of concern to the Chamber membership. This committee meets the third Tuesday of every month at the Chamber office in Santa Rosa Beach at 8:30am.
Taste of the Beach Committee works diligently to plan, support and market one of our largest, signature events, Wine, Dine & Donate .” This group secures sponsorships, vendors and donations, while also serving as event planners, for this large wine tasting, fare sampling and business extravaganza.
Walton Area Chamber Golf Classic Committee members have the opportunity to participate in one of the Chamber’s most popular events, the Golf Classic Tournament. The goal of this committee is to coordinate an event for members to interact in a business/professional social setting, while also having a little “work related,” fun.
Youth Leadership/Education Council ensures continued excellence of education by promoting school/business partnerships and educating members and the public about education’s role in improving the business climate and the quality of life in the Walton Area. The Council also helps to maintain a program for the youth of the Walton Area to motivate and empower a select group of high school students along with serving as an Advisor Board for the Career Academies.
YP @The Beach members are young professionals bridging social, geographic, political and economic boundaries across Northwest Florida’s Gulf Coast.
Celebrity Waiter Dinner members have the opportunity to participate in one of the Chamber’s most popular event, the Celebrity Waiter Dinner. The goal of this committee is to plan and coordinate an event for the business community to raise funds for charity.
