Presenting Community Leaders with the Opportunity to Improve


Leadership Walton Visionaries is the guiding group that develops the program outline that aims to provide present and potential community leaders with the opportunity to improve their leadership skills and awareness. The Leadership Walton program is designed to provide an integrated exposure to leadership and management skills, identify challenges and issues facing the growing Greater Walton County community, and foster personal and professional growth.

Basic Responsibilities of the Leadership Walton Visionaries

  • Support the Foundation’s mission and purposes
  • Be forward thinking in the vision and improvement of the Leadership Walton Program
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance for the President & CEO in the development of the Leadership Walton Curriculum including all aspects of program outline i.e., tuition, presenters, schedule, projects, etc.
  • Ensure effective planning for the program
  • Ensure adequate resources
  • Monitor the program
  • Enhance the Foundation/Leadership Walton’s public image
  • Regularly attended meetings, conference calls and important related functions
  • Supports the participation of fund raising for the Foundation
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • An understanding, appreciation and interest in leadership development.
  • Specific skills of interest to the LWV including but not limited to:
    • Leadership
    • Management
    • Coaching
    • Education
    • Mentorship
  • A willingness to participate in meetings, events, negotiations, fundraising, financial planning and other participatory activities of the LWV.
  • The ability to communicate effectively.
  • An interest and ability to provide personal contributions to the Foundation.
  • A wide range of personal contacts from which to solicit support.
  • Proven leadership ability.
